Senior Seva Helpline Walk-a-Thon:
A Case Study in Event Awareness and Digital Engagement
Client : Senior Seva Helpline
Project : Walk-a-Thon Awareness Campaign & Volunteer Recruitement
Agency Partner : Noeticminds Consulting
Region : India
Timeline : 2024
Category : Social Impact, Event Promotions, Digital Strategy
Background
The Senior Seva Helpline (SSH) Walk-a-Thon was envisioned as a public initiative to raise awareness about the Senior Seva Helpline and drive volunteer engagement. With a goal of touching the lives of over 15,000 senior citizens and enabling over 3,000 service requests, the event needed a comprehensive strategy that combined community outreach, digital engagement, and operatrional precision.
OBJECTIVE
✅ Drive 3,000 service requests through partnerships and volunteer deployment.
✅ Connect 600+ walkers to on-ground government services.
✅ Recruit young volunteers through the Yuva Bharat tie-up program.
✅ Raise funds for the ongoing operations of the Senior Seva Helpline, Seva Mitra program, and vendor-supported delivery services.
SOLUTION
NoeticMinds Consulting was brought on board to develop the event’s branding, digital assets, and promotional strategies. Our team worked closely with the organizers to ensure a wide reach and strong engagement.
We began with the design of a logo that conveyed compassion, care, and volunteerism. The logo, submitted by our content creator and event production expert Akshay, was carefully crafted to be agnostic of religious or sectarian elements, and to be easily recognizable by the elderly.
Our design team developed a comprehensive set of event assets:
- Posters and banners
- T-shirt designs
- LED screen content
- ID cards and tickets
- Sponsor showcase videos
- Thank-you notes
To resonate with a diverse demographic, we created educational and promotional videos in Marathi, Hindi, Kannada, and English. These covered:
- The importance of the Walk-a-Thon
- How seniors could benefit from the helpline
- How to become a volunteer
We targeted youth aged 18–22 with relatable content, including peer-created videos and posters. These were promoted in colleges and community centers, supported by a simple online registration process.
Our team created social media content tailored to SSH’s goals. We also designed WhatsApp creatives for personalized outreach to seniors, volunteers, and partner organizations.
Drawing from our experience running KPOs for global clients, we:
- Designed SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
- Developed protocols for volunteer behavior and service standards
- Enabled a scalable system for handling helpline requests via a partnership with Globus Sales & Distribution’s BPO team
Challenges Faced
Despite the success, the project posed several challenges:
- Engaging the Elderly Online: Many seniors had limited digital literacy, requiring more personalized outreach methods.
- Volunteer Retention: Recruiting young volunteers was easier than maintaining long-term commitment. Ongoing motivation and engagement strategies had to be developed.
- Language and Cultural Nuances: Creating multi-lingual content that resonated equally across diverse regions took careful planning and review.
- Coordination Across Stakeholders: Synchronizing efforts between government bodies, sponsors, and volunteers demanded a robust communication framework.
- Resource Allocation: Balancing budget limitations with the need for high-quality content and outreach assets required creative problem-solving.
Impact
- Awareness outreach to 15,000+ seniors
- Over 3,000 service requests projected
- 600+ walkers engaged with government services
- Strong network of volunteers built via digital campaigns
- Successful fundraising outcomes for long-term program sustainability

The Senior Seva Helpline Walk-a-Thon demonstrated the power of strategic digital engagement for social good.
